im bk fr scotland! learnt lotsa interesting things abt their culture...n e ppl...they hv 2 main national drinks...one is whiskey...another is irn-bru which is a soft drink...den they hv their famous tartan pattern...criss cross pattern...den saw their traditional constume when e guide took us for e tour...

took e long train ride fr king's cross station in london to edinburgh...first time i sit train...so was a nice experience...passing by large fields spanning e horizon...n little sheep n horses n cows happili grazing on e pastures...wat a good life...juz kinda cold...n their fate is to end up on our dinner plates la (for lamb n cow onli ba...haven heard of horse meat!?!?)...
met panqin at e station...den she was to meet her n lichun later for dinner...meanwhile went to put down luggage at our hostel...e globetrotters inn where we were spending 2 nites...had dinner at kebab mahal...selling pakistani food i tink...mi ate lamb n mushrm curry n dhal...had a nice time chatting at e restaurant...

went to edinburgh castle...first time i step into a castle...altho some parts been rebuilt liao...but most of it was still e original appearance of e castle...had a nice view of e city fr e castle...n yep...do u noe tt e castle was built on volcanic rock...? but its extinct liao so no worries of e castle being blown off...hee...bought a postcard n a tartan scarf as a souveneir...had lunch at redcoat cafe in e castle...tink redcoat were e names of e soldiers...cos they wore a red cape as part of their uniform...aft tt went to search for a skye terrier who stayed by his masters grave til he died...e name of the dog is greyfriars bobby...den along e whole street got mani shops all named aft e dog...went to canongate kirk where e church had a lot of graves of famous ppl...aft tt went to e museums...e childhood museum, ppl of edinburgh museum, scottish art gallery...den had a long walk down e main rd in edinburgh, the royal mile...at e end of it was rewarded w e view of a mountainous feature which was called arthur's seat...but din climb it la...too tired...aft tt went to leith to eat seafood dinner...its famous for it...ate a giant seafood platter n oysters...yummy...headed for e beach juz behind e inn before turning in in e evening..a serene place...but too cold for mi..hee...

went for haggis day tour...where they brought us up to e highlands...first stop was at doune castle...din go in but enjoyed e nice scenery outside...saw hairy cows! which they call 'coos' in scottish...saw mani lakes which they call lochs...pronounced as [lork'h s]...w an aspiration...haha...el2102 put into use in pronouncing these words...den went for a tour at e whiskey distillery...e brand of it is called e famous grouse...v cute bird cos they animated it for their advertisements n stuff...bought miniature whiskey...went shopping at e disney store...bought scottish shortbread...den took bus to glasgow...stayed at e scottish youth hostel...v cosy building...gu se gu xiang la...

took bus down to glasgow city centre aft brekkie...den visited st mungo's cathedral where his body was kept...den went to st mungo's musuem where there was much information on e diff types of religion...den went to george's square w lotsa pigeon n statues ard e square...kinda reminded mi of e mtvs where e main actress runs among e pigeons den they fly awae...haha...went shopping a leetle...bought a levis denim jacket...aft tt headed bk for edinburgh...den bought scottish tu3 chan3: haggis n fried mars bar 2 eat on e train...haggis is actualli minced sheep intestine plus barley n oats...den u fry e thing...den its normalli eaten by farmers aft a hard daes work...as for e fried mars bar...its super nice la...e choc wil melt in ur mouth....i call it a chocolate goreng pisang look alike...shd hv eaten it while it was warmer actualli...met up w an irritating female angmoh auntie passenger...told her she sit wrong seat liao stil refuse to budge...den show her ticket n ticket number stil tell mi to go n ask e train master...sai la...n as i refused to budge too...she gave in n i won! 1-0...hoho...den aft tt she went to sit at other ppls place agn aft some ppl left at some stations...den she kn chased awae agn by e new passengers who came on board...belli gd...

guess tts all for my adventures...im tired...shall recuperate over these 2 daes...until my nxt adventure of 5 daes in venice, pisa, florence n rome...

fourth dae of holidaes soon over...not been doin much la...
